Asian Actuaries, Inc. (AAI) is an actuarial consulting firm established in 1996 to provide actuarial competencies in Asia and the Pacific. Our Founder and Chairman, Mr. Panfilo de la Paz, has served as an actuary for a number of private and public offices in the Philippines including Hewitt Associates and Lincoln National Reinsurance in the United States.
We are composed of highly-qualified actuaries with credentials from the Society of Actuaries (SOA), a global professional organization, and the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (ASP). Our actuaries are accredited by the Insurance Commission of the Philippines to perform actuarial services for the Life, Non-Life, Pre-Need, and HMO industries.

We believe that social justice can be attained through inclusive, impactful, and sustainable insurance. Through its partnership with RIMANSI Organization for Asia and the Pacific, AAI has provided product development expertise for mutual insurers in the Philippines, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Cambodia, & Fiji. As of 2020, the mutuals in the Philippines alone have insured more than 26 Millions lives; and have paid more than 1.6 Billion in claims.

The consultants have undergone intensive training sessions from the SOA on the actuarial elements of IFRS reporting requirements and IFRS 17 reporting standards through the SOA International Financial Reporting for Insurers (IFRI) Certificate Program.
Panfilo de la Paz is the Founder and Chairman of the Management Committee of AAI. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Actuarial Society of the Philippines. He finished his Master of Science in Actuarial Science degree at the State University of Iowa.
Mae Elizabeth S. Lungay has over a decade of experience in international consulting for private corporations, government institutions, and non-profit organizations. Her core expertise includes business development and financial modeling for Life & Non-Life companies, HMOs, and emerging risks. She is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. She finished her Master of Science in Applied Mathematics (Actuarial) degree at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Darwin Ivan C. Carrasco has an extensive experience in product pricing and statutory reporting for Life and Pre-Need companies in the Philippines. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics (Actuarial) degree at the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
